100-Level Industrial Mathematics Student Claims ₦35 Million Prize at University of Lagos Ceremony
LAGOS — A fresh academic journey turned into a fairytale for one lucky student recently. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) hosted a special presentation ceremony. During this event, the institution formally handed over a brand-new 2025 Alsvin Mikano car.
The lucky recipient is Babatunde Ayomide Emmanuel. Currently, he is a 100-level student of Industrial Mathematics.
MTN Campus Invasion Rewards Loyalty
Emmanuel emerged as the grand winner of the popular MTN Campus Invasion competition. This initiative rewards customer engagement. Furthermore, it fosters loyalty among students across the country.
Consequently, UNILAG executives organized an official handover event. Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola, the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, led the presentation.
She praised MTN Nigeria for their actions. Specifically, she commended their sustained commitment to youth empowerment. She also highlighted their support for educational development.
A Significant Boost for Students
Moreover, Prof. Ogunsola underscored the importance of responsible corporate citizenship. She noted that private sector partnerships play a critical role. They actively support student growth.
Speaking at the event, she said, “It is truly gratifying to witness a private sector entity not only providing essential services but also directly investing in the future of our students. This vehicle represents a significant start for the young recipient.”

Notably, the car holds a value of about ₦35 million. University executives and the student’s parent watched the presentation joyfully.

He expressed his thanks to the telecommunications giant.
